Reporting to the Taproom Manager or Shift Leader

  • Help maintain culture and positive vibe of the brand experiences in the Taproom, while serving guests 
  • Convey knowledge about craft beer and educate customers on the process of brewing beer and the ingredients required to make beer
  • Engage visitors through active selling of beer and food, while driving and/or  to-go options when appropriate
  • Work all areas of the current front of house operation, including greeting and seating guests, running beer and food, serving tables, pouring beer and maintaining the retail store
  • Maintain a clean, safe, focused, and productive environment on a daily basis in addition to being a lead brand ambassador
  • Provide excellent customer service with a customer first attitude
  • Use good judgment, communication, and customer service when interacting with Taproom guests
  • Understand when to elevate situations to Taproom management
  • Develop an understanding of the history and mission of White Lion, the Taproom, as well as the brewing process itself

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bartending, serving or retail experience preferred

Desired: TIPS Certification

CPR/First Aid certified

Schedule is Part-Time or Full Time 

Physical Demands & Occupational Exposure: 

Lifting or Moving Materials and Supplies up to and over 50 pounds

Activity Standing 90% Walking 90% Sitting 5% Bending 5%

White Lion has a new production brewery, taproom, and kitchen at 1500 Main Street, Springfield, MA.  It is located in the heart of the Business Improvement District and in proximity to the Dining District,  MassMutual Center, Symphony Hall, the School Department, Sheraton and Marriott Hotels, 6,000  office workers, and MGM Casino. The new Taproom location is anticipated to open in June 2021. It  will include a 5,500 sq. ft. production brewery, 2,500 sq. ft. refrigerated and dry storage space, and a  2,200 sq. ft. taproom/kitchen at the corner of Main & Bridge Street. The taproom will offer indoor seating as well as seasonal outside seating. Guests have the option to stop in to pick up fresh beer to  go, or, relax and have a pint with great food options.
